Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the extent of utilization of selected strategies in teaching elementary grades pupils, such as Dyadic, Expository Strategy, Enabling Strategy, Simulation Games, Small Group Discussion, and Role Playing. This was conducted at Sampad and Navotas Elementary schools where a total of 19 teachers respondents; 7 teachers in Sampad and 12 teachers in Navotas from both schools served as respondents of the study. This used the descriptive evaluative design of research. A modified questionnaire checklist was used as the instrument in gathering data and basis for finding out the extent of selected strategies in teaching elementary grades pupils with respect to age, sex, position, monthly family income and length of service. Descriptive method of research was used. It was found out that all the selected strategies are always utilized however, among the selected strategies the findings revealed that the teachers always utilized expository strategy. Although, the different strategies were perceived to be used, the teachers must continually develop them to make the subject more interesting. It is therefore recommended that a follow up study is suggested to provide a basis for further explanation on the findings gathered.
