In light of the foregoing findings and conclusions, the following were recommended: The findings should serve as a guide for the administration to initiate English Proficiency Program or Tutorial Services as part of the curriculum of the freshmen teacher education students. Teachers should give more drills and exercises to improve the English proficiency of the college students. Further application will help enhance what they have learned during their grade school and high school. Parents should monitor their child's learning progress as part of their responsibilities. They should work hand in hand with the teachers to ensure better learning. Students should devote more time in studying rules in grammar and answer exercises and drills that will help them apply what they have learned. Future researchers should conduct further studies in order to prove or disprove the results of this study.
