Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Science in Office Administration Major in Office Management University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal 2011 Summary: This study had the objective of determining the Extent of Implementation of Management Information System at the Office of the Ombudsman. The respondents were the 40 employees at the Office of the Ombudsman coming from different departments The General Service Division (GSD), Management Information System (MIS), Central Record Division (CRD), Human Resource Management Division (HRMD) and the Admin Officer. The Office of the Ombudsman had 25 departments but only 5 were using Management Information System. Hence, they were subjected in this study. This endeavor utilized the descriptive method of research using questionnaire checklist as the main instrument in gathering data. The obtained results from the study were tallied, computed and interpreted using the statistical treatment. The frequency, percentage and rank distribution were used to determine the profile of the respondents. To know the Extent of Implementation of Management Information System at the Office of the Ombudsman, mean was used. To establish the significant difference between the Implementation of Management Information System at the Office of the Ombudsman and the respondents' profile, ANOVA was used. From the analysis and interpretation of data, it was found out that the Majority of the respondents in terms of sex, females had the frequency of 26 or 65.00 percent while male had the frequency of 14 or 35.00 percent. In terms of age, most of the respondents belonged to age bracket of 31-35 years old with a frequency of 15 or 37.50 percent. There were 14 respondents or 38.39 percent came from General Service Division. On the Extent of Implementation of Management Information System at the Office of the Ombudsman in terms of adaptability, accuracy and flexibility they were all verbally interpreted much implemented with a mean of 3.39, 3.36 and 3.58 respectively. There was no significant difference between the profile of the respondents and the Extent of Implementation of Management Information System at the Office of the Ombudsman in terms of sex and age but there was significant relationship in terms of department. On the basis of the findings it was recommended that the Office of the Ombudsman should implement Management Information System in all departments. It is also recommended to update their employees with the new trends of managing information. They showed also innovate system that will improve employee performance. Each employee should be a reliable source of information. Finally, Future researchers may conduct further study using other possible variables to make the present study more reliable. In the light of the findings, the following recommendation hereby presented: Employees in Office of the Ombudsman they should provide trainings in enhancing skills of Management Information Systern so that they can maintain the effective and efficiency of its implementation. School should ensure that their students are updated with the skills needed in computer education so that their graduates are competitive enough in looking for employment. Future Researchers to deepen the present study, they can use other possible variables if ever they want to replicate this research.
