Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English University of Rizal System-Morong 2024
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study explored the employers’ feedback on the job performance of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English graduates from the University of Rizal System Morong through the lens of the employers utilizing an adopted CHED based survey questionnaire. The researchers aimed to provide statistical data that the university can use to assess the employability and job performance of its new graduates. This undergraduate thesis was conducted among the selected primary and secondary public schools located in Rizal, Philippines during the academic year 2023-2024. Descriptive research design was applied using mixed methods approach. The undergraduate thesis investigated two key aspects: the level of job performance of the graduates and the comments of respondents. Based on the results of a tracer study and utilizing purposive sampling technique, the researchers selected 30 BSE English graduates of year 2017-2022 in URS Morong, who were currently working as public school teachers. Master teachers from 22 public schools were chosen as respondents of this paper. They provided quantitative and qualitative feedback regarding the BSE English graduates under their supervision by answering an adopted survey questionnaire. The findings indicated that BSE English graduates excelled in terms of competency, commitment, collaboration, and credibility in their job performance. Additionally, most respondents provided positive comments regarding these competencies. Therefore, this suggests that BSE English graduates are competent teachers in the English subject and dedicated to their work. Furthermore, they are actively engaged with their superiors, peers, and students, and are dependable and trusted within the organization. Hence, the positive feedback provided by the master teachers indicates excellent nurturing of teacher graduates in URS Morong. In conclusion, this study has successfully demonstrated the excellence of the performance of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English Graduates from URS Morong as assessed by the employers. The feedback from master teachers from various schools in Rizal demonstrates the university's educational program's ability to produce well-prepared and dependable educators. These findings not only validate the graduates' preparedness for the teaching profession, but also give significant insights that the University of Rizal System Morong can use to further improve its curriculum and help future graduates in their career path within or across the field of education.
