This study aimed to assess the implementation of Alternative Learning System program among secondary schools in the District 4 of Quezon City during school year 2019-2020
It sought to answer the formulated problems as to the profile of the ALS program, status in the implementation of ALS program, learners' assessment on the delivery of the program and the issues and concerns encountered by the Instructional Managers in the implementation of the program.
The study made use of descriptive- evaluative method of research to accomplish the purpose of this study. Documentary analysis also was used for the records of the profile of Alternative Learning System program in terms of enrolment, test takers and passing rate, teachers, facilities and budget. Frequency and Percentage Distribution were also utilized for the profile of ALS program. Weighted Mean was used also to measure the status of implementation of the program with respect to Curriculum, Training Packages, Trainer's Qualification, Training Strategies, Monitoring & Evaluation Scheme, and Funding Support similarly with the learners' assessment on the delivery of the program in terms of teachers, facilities, and budget. Thematic analysis was utilized to collect informative data on the issues and concerns encountered by the ALS Instructional Managers.
The respondents of the study were the nine (9) ALS Instructional Managers ALS teachers who were actively engaged in Alternative Learning System Program and the one hundred (100) ALS learners of the selected schools.
