This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of modified strategy in solving word problems in Mathematics. This was conducted during the School Year 2018-2019 at Wawa National High School. The respondents were composed of two sections wherein one section was classified as the control group and the other one was the experimental group.
Experimental and qualitative evaluate design of research was utilized in the conduct of the study. Experimentation was used to control the educative factors to which the respondents are subjected during the period of inquiry and observed the resulting achievements. Qualitative Approach was used to get the feedbacks of the teachers and students in utilizing modified strategy
