Dissertation note: Undergraduate Study Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education Major In Mathematics University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal 2013 Summary: This study aimed to develop, validate and determine the level the acceptability of modules in Intermediate Algebra, which will serve as supplementary instructional material in teaching Intermediate Algebra. This was conducted during the school year 2013-2014 at General Licerio Geronimo Memorial National High School. Specifically, the study sought to answer the question on the performance of the respondents in the pre-test and post test in terms of Cartesian Coordinate plane, Plotting of Points, Points in a Quadrant, Relation and Function, Graph of Linear Functions/ Equations, Properties of Graph of Linear Functions/ Equations, Slope of a Line, Rewriting Linear Equation Ax + By Cin the form y= mx + b and Vice- versa, Characteristics of Graph of Linear Equations in terms of its Intercepts and Slope, Obtaining the Slope of a Line, Given any Two Points, Given the x- and y- intercepts, Given the Slope and a Point on the line, Problems Involving Linear Function, and if there is significant difference between the two test. The level of acceptability of the modules as perceived by the instructor and the students in terms of objectives, contents, activities, organization, creativity, style and presentation and evaluation was also determined. The study made use of experimental method utilizing single group pre-test-post test design and descriptive- evaluative research design to determine the performance of the respondents before and after their exposure to modules and their perception on the acceptability of the modules.
